These volunteers help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service. Classes are available through the National Weather Service Miami/South Florida office. Check the list of upcoming SKYWARN classes.

In-person training is recommended as it is custom tailored to our local weather and there is the opportunity to ask questions of the NWS trainer, engage in discussions, etc. However, online training is also available via MetEd.
